Whoever said, Prayer doesnt work?!?!?

At 8:37 this morning, I got an email with Bona's B.C and Medicals....wooohoooo! Bona Gemechis was born December 2. He weighs right now, 15.6 lbs and is 25.6" long. We are over the roof to have all of his information! Woooohoooo! Let's pray for a speedy court date now, ok!? Thanks!

Can we get a birth certificate already?!

So, we're still waiting (though, our POA in Ethiopia says they have it) for his birth certificate, and once that is recieved we can get our case submitted to court. We reeeeeallllly need some prayers that this comes very soon, and we get a relatively quick court date, so we can get to Ethiopia before court closures....which we are told happens middle of July-and I think til about September or so......
If ever we were to have a situation that would test our patience more than this, I can't imagine it. When we think about the grand scheme of things and if we arent able to get him until September, we have the rest of our lives with him. God has a plan, and he will make sure that our lil' guy is home with us when the time is right! (just have to keep reminding myself of that)....I really couldnt believe it when people had said, "we fell in love the moment we saw their picture"-it really does happen. We look at him everyday and feel so blessed that God has chosen him to come into our lives. I did have a dream about him being home with us Sunday night, and Monday is when our agency director emailed me and said our POA had his birth certificate. I think there must be some significance to that.......
OK, so that leaves all of you with one job.....PRAY PRAY PRAY for a "speedy" court date!

WOWsers....here's an update.....

It's now April 13, and I have kinda forgotten to keep this page updated as I began a new one that I thought was a little easier to update people as a reminder......
For all of you "blogger friends", I will do an update and promise to do a better job of keeping ya'll in the "know" :)
We've recieved a referral of a little 5 month old baby boy, named Bona. He is the cutest stinkin thing to ever come out of Ethiopia I swear!!! He's got these big cheeks you wanna squeeze and these lips that are so perfect! I can't wait til we're through court and I can post pics of him and we can move ahead. We recieved a very important document in the mail last week that really is like GOLD to us.....funny story about that later, when I have more time. I will post more in a bit, as we're off to church to pray for all of you and our lil man......to be continued..............
I found something pretty ironic at church today after we showed pictures of Bona to Grandpa for the first time. During the service, my grandpa had pointed out that one of the readings today was one of my grandmas (who passed a few months before our wedding, about 6 years ago) favorites and was read at her funreal......I really did feel that grandma was "with us" when we were sharing such a special moment with grandpa....I do miss her......
