Back to where he came from.....kinda

We had a great first "Famiversary" on Tuesday! Daddy took the day off from work (which says A LOT) and we took the whole day to just spend together! It was a pretty nice lil' Tuesday! We headed to the zoo which has a "Wild Africa" part to it, which was very cool. We had never been so didn't know exactly what it was. When we came walking up to the trolly we had to walk through an area that had all of the flags of Africa hanging. And lil' signs on posts, so we had a lil' of Ethiopia in our day!
We then headed to dinner and some of our vey good friends met us, The Ballards and The Essells! They are some of our closest friends, and helped us get to where we are today!!!
Rylee Bona, I can't imagine this past year going by without u in our lives! U are such a blessing, and we are so fortunate to be able to call your our son! Your smiles light up the room, and your personality always seems to draw attention-we love you so much! Love, Mommy and Daddy!

A year ago......

I know that some have a problem" with the term "Gotcha", however I think it's cute, so that's what we're gonna use! I cannot believe where the year has gone! In some ways it feels like he has been here from his very 1st day of life, and in other it still feels so "new"!

The day we picked him up still is so fresh in my mind, the most AMAZING day of our lives and it will be forever fresh, i know that. We miss u Lisa, the Motts and Jaclyn, we cannot wait til we can get together!!! I still remember meeting you all for the very first time! Our week there would not have been the same without u all! While your children were having hot messes leaking outta their diapers, u were rootin' RB on to even go at all, or to cry-believe me, it's ALL happenin' now : ) We thank God for him every single day-we KNOW that he was meant to be our son, everyday it shows-here are a few pics from our first day with Rylee Bona, I will write on our day yesterday when I get a chance!
