What makes me TICK......

So, y'all (yes, having spent a lot of time with friends from the south, i sure do LOVE speaking as if I live there) this blog is about to become a lot more of US.  A lot more of "just" family happenings.....it's about to become anything and everything I want a platform for.  Anywhere that I can talk about my passions, our kids, my family, our life, current events, and more! It's about to be a blog on WHAT and WHO move me! It may get really exciting, and allow for some more followers to jump on board all the nonsense I have to talk about-who knows, maybe we'll even have some give-aways, guest bloggers, and anything else that comes to mind!

So, lately I have felt ALL over the PLACE.  No joke.  Here's my list of things that instantly jump into my mind as my feet hit the floor each morning......
^ Wonder how many lbs I lost over night while I was sleeping, should I weigh in now, should I weigh in later, how long should I be up before I check, and so on with THAT.

^ Who can i SHARE my passions with today, WHO would be so full of life and good at what I do, WHO wants to change the world with me, WHO can I share the opportunities in my life with that I have been given.

^Am I contributing enough to my family, am I being the best mom that I can be to my kids, am I being the best wife that I can be to Ryan, am I being a good friend, and so on with THAT (it doesn't stop, trust me)

^How can I pray each day that people "get" it.  That people can be moved to support Awake and Alive and child sponsorship, and mission work, and adoption-how can I make sure that each day, at least ONE person is touched by my heart and passion for those without?

Everyday I have such high expectations of myself.  There are MANY days I fail.  I just hope that I don't fail in every one of my passions and goals every day.  You're going to hit low points, BUT when the high is really high, it is THE MOST amazing feeling in the world.  I will touch on all of these things in the coming posts, and more in depth as I feel led.

PLEASE follow a long in our crazy lil' life, a life where we have overcome A LOT to get where we are today. Stronger and with life values we had NO idea about before in ourselves, our marriage and our family! Happy Monday y'all!

{Whoa} Ezra turned 4 and Rylee B graduated!

AND i haven't been great at keeping up with our family blog!

Rylee will be in first grade, and Ezra turned 4! THAT'S what has been going on with the {A} family!

In all seriousness, I am sad that it's gone 6 months and I haven't written! It was my goal to make this a great lil' keepsake for all of lifes happenings-clearly we'll just store the last few months in our head, and try to summarize!

Rylee passed Kindergarten-with flying colors! WELL, almost flying colors-there were a few days in there that I didn't know if we'd be allowed back in school or not, but soon we figured that out and next thing I know, he's graduating with high honors from his first major year in school! It's amazing what they learn in their first year, that's for sure! We ADORED his teacher, and felt very lucky to have him in her classroom! He's a lil' smarty-pants, and I am doing all that I can this summer while on break to make sure he doesn't lose anything he was able to learn!

We've had a busy summer already-but before that we took a vacation for Spring Break to California to see Uncle Jake! We also got to see the McCoy family, Shands, Lisa, Zaela and Amari-they made the trip to Disneyland for a day with us! I can honestly say, we are not "that" Disney family.  We absolutely loved it, and to see the kiddos faces with each character that laid their eyes on them was priceless-but it's not something we see us wanting to do every year (nor could we afford to do that).....

Also, while we were there the talented Alyssa Tembrina took pictures for us on the Beach in Santa Moncia!! Love her friendship and talent!

Ezra turned 4 and LISTEN UP-She couldn't wait for her PINK PARTY, AND she didn't cry! (Well, the pinata situation and Dora losing her head, caused for a mild meltdown, it was short lived) and she had a GREAT party! The next day she had some neighborhood friends over for a princess lunch, and had a blast-with a weekend visit from The Shrocks! WHAT A FUN, CRAZY weekend! (pics to come on that) and for the 4th of July, we just got back from a few nights with friends in West Lafayette! If you've never been, don't bother :) JUST KIDDING! It was our 3rd time there, but let's get real if the Haids didnt live there, it's not a place I would say you HAVE to go to-but it's the friends that make the place worth going, right!?  We've had a fun, busy summer so far, but that's how it goes in the mitten! We get 4 warm months out of the year, we have to pack it all in when we can!

I also ran my FIRST half-marathon a few weeks ago! Yeah, I know-i didn't think i would ever, or could ever do it either! It happened, and I actually had a great time! I'll document more on that later as well....Hope everyone is enjoying their summer! Until next time!
