Since I wasn't up on it to do a Thanksgiving Day post I will re-cap the day in a nutshell for Rylee's first Thaksgiving! It honestly was the best Thanksgiving ever(minus the fact that Jake and Emile are in California)! What more can you ask for than Family, and great food and drinks?! We had stopped over to Grandpa Webers (Ryans grandpa) so he could meet Rylee for the first time-he fell in love instantly and Rylee fell in love back (I think the orange lollipop that he had waiting for him helped a little) :) It was really bitter sweet-Ryans grandpa has cancer and though he looks really good, there is that pit in your stomach knowing that he's living with such a vicious and awful disease. When we left there, Ryan was beating himself up over the fact that he doesn't see him enough-I think that's going to change! He is a kind and loving man, who has a great passion for golf-as does Ryan-they could have talked for hours and hours! We can't wait to see him at Christmas!
We then went to my parents where Rylee had his first Thanksgiving feast-we were a lil' bummed out that he had a cold so he wasn't quite the Rylee B that we're all used to-so he just kinda hung out in his chair, lookin' a lil' lathargic and just let me put food in his mouth-next year buddy-I know you'll bring your "A-game" :)
After hanging out and watching the Detroit Lions lay an egg, we headed to Ryan's dads and hung there for awhile. By the time the day was winding down, I could tell that Rylee took in all that he could on his first Thanksgiving! We are so so blessed to have him and the rest of you in our lives! As we have said this before, we couldnt have gone through this without every single one of you that read this. In some how, some way you have all been a part of our lives-whether it's your blog that I have read in return, a prayer that you've said, or physically held our hands through this journey-we are THANKFUL for you all! God's Blessings to you and your family!
