RUNNING FOR ORPHANS!

Ok, so those of you that don't know me-I will first tell you that I am NOT a runner. I have never liked/"enjoyed" it-however, last spring i met an amazing person, Kim (see her blog: http://www.justanotherrunningdiva.blogspot.com/ ) through my fabulous cousin Sara! Well, I always joked I could never run out to my mailbox (which is within arms reach almost, haha)-without wanting to die. Well, I got hooked up with Kim-took her Running 101 class, and now Running 102 class, and whatta know-I have decided I am going to give ALL my effort into running the Chicago Rock n Roll 1/2 martathon! It's taking a lot of hard work and determination but let's be honest-there is NO way I can back out now....BECAUSE..........

I am partnering with ORDINARY HERO and will be RUNNING FOR ORPHANS IN ETHIOPIA!!!! AND YOU CAN JOIN MY TEAM!!!! ( http://www.ordinaryheroblog.blogspot.com/ )

Seriously, you have NO idea how excited I am to be running for such an amazing organization! Even if the thought of running 13.1 miles makes me wanna hurl-I KNOW that I can do this! I know that with every step I take there is a child that is walking 10 hours just to get FRESH drinking water for their family, I know that there are thousands of children in the city of Addis Ababa that are walking without shoes. Running 13.1 miles is the LEAST i can do to raise money for these children! PLEASE can you consider donating (a link will be coming soon, and I will post the official "start donating" post as soon as I get it) and would you consider joining our team to run for Ordinary Hero and the orphans in Ethiopia!? Kelly, of OH posted a link on her latest post about it as well, please pass this to anyone you know, become a follower of my blog and get the word out!!! Thank you ORDINARY HERO for doing such amazing things!! I am blessed to be a part of it!
