Real.Love

We celebrated Rylee's Gotcha Day a day early (well, after all in Ethiopia it was time to celebrate, so we did it early here) BECAUSE......Zaela was in town! Most of you know that is how we met Lisa and Zaela, we lived our first weeks with our kiddos together in Ethiopia, with our babies-Rylee and Zaela, as first time parents! What a blessing that they were able to come to Michigan to stay with us for 4 days! They met lil' Miss Ezzie for the first time as well, and she did wonderful with them! Zaela will be blessed by a new baby sister in 2012-2013 from Ethiopia as well, so this was some good "training" for her! Thank you McCoy's for coming and vacationing with us!
Rylee and Zaela LOVE eachother. We have decided that it's in the Ethiopian culture to do arranged marriages, so we're going to stick with that.  Rylee and Zaela will one day marry-like maybe in 2037 or something!  Rylee did super with the 2 lil' diva's that were running the show all week, no joke.  It was hilarious, they had their crowns on, and they wore them well : )

I am not really kidding when I say this is how they are the majority of the time. It's not really that far of a stretch.  He hams it up for her, she thinks he is absolutly hilarious he loves that she laughs at him, so it's a win win.  She's starting to talk talk talk talk talk. AND talk.  It's such a blessing to see how well these two have molded together the last year and a half.  She loves smoochies, chap-it (chapstick), wotion (lotion), mommy's makeup, HUGS (ah hug mama) and says the same thing as Rylee used to (Hold you mama) when she wants me to pick her up.  My heart melts, because she can be such a lil' diva who is easily hurt, she is our sensitive lil' girl and if something sets her off, she will let you know all about it.  So it's pics like these, and the hug requests, and smoochies and snuggle time that make me really thank the good lord-more so than ever.  It's not ALWAYS peachy here, it's just not-I just choose to carefully select my pics and stories to blog.  I blog about the" wonderful" super-market trips from back in the day (sometims those types of trips STILL happen), and I also blog about what i think my children will enjoy looking back on when they are older, because after all this is for them, and for us.
He's only been asking to play sports since the day we brought him home, I swear.  Ok-maybe from the day he could speak sentences to us.  BUUUUT finally, since we have moved-it's easier to find things for kids to do (without having to make the 25 minute trek) so this sumer it was SOCCER CAMP.  He loved it. The first day his feet couldnt stop moving, and the grin was slow to move from his face!  They talked of long plane rides before class one day, and he said "well, I'm from Ethiopia and my plane ride was like 460 hours"....close buddy. :)  He's excited to be able to play for real soccer next year, until then we'll keep his feet moving with other things this year!
